Year 5

On Friday 27th May 2022, all the children at Hawthorn Primary celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

We created fabric squares, and tiles, to commemorate this special event.

We enjoyed Jubilee cake together and displayed our class fabric squares.

We also sat down, as a school, and enjoyed a Jubilee picnic outside in the sun.

Year 5 will be going swimming every Friday morning this half of term ( Spring Term ) . The children will need swim wear and a towel inside there bag , they should wear their school uniform to school .

Welcome to Year 5!

Welcome back to Hawthorn Primary School and welcome to Year Five! We hope you have had a fantastic break and you are ready to work hard in the upcoming year.

Being new to Hawthorn Primary School I am excited to be sharing in your journey with you through what will be a successful year. Miss Raven will be joining us in Year 5 to support your learning as will Mr Barr, and Mrs Gore towards the end of each week.

Each week, we will be having our P.E sessions on Monday and Friday afternoons so please ensure you come to school on those days in appropriate sports clothing. Just a reminder, no football shirts are allowed! Please make sure you are also wearing pumps or trainers on those days as school shoes will not always be suitable.

We look forward to working with you this year,

Mr Robinson & Miss Raven
