Year 3 Games Afternoon...

Year 3 enjoyed a fun and engaging Games Afternoon, providing pupils with valuable opportunities to play, socialise and work collaboratively with their peers. Through a variety of team games and activities, children developed important skills such as communication, cooperation, turn-taking and problem-solving while enjoying time together outside of their usual classroom learning.

The afternoon encouraged children to follow rules, play fairly and show respect for one another, supporting the British Value of Rule of Law. Pupils demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, understanding that rules help to keep activities safe, enjoyable and fair for everyone involved.

This experience linked closely to Article 31, the right to rest, play and leisure, recognising the importance of play in supporting children's happiness, wellbeing and development. It also supported Article 15, the right to freedom of association, as children had opportunities to form friendships, work together and participate in shared activities with others.
