West Bromwich Albion - Year 3 Wellbeing and Rights Learning...
Year 3 took part in a special workshop delivered by West Bromwich Albion, focusing on emotions, mental health and wellbeing. Through engaging discussions and activities, the children explored a range of emotions, learned strategies for managing their feelings and developed a greater understanding of the importance of positive mental health.
The workshop encouraged pupils to recognise and respect the feelings and experiences of others, promoting the British Value of Mutual Respect. Children were given opportunities to share their thoughts, listen to others and discuss ways to support both their own wellbeing and that of their peers.
This learning linked closely to Article 24, the right to the best possible health, including mental health and wellbeing, helping children understand the importance of looking after both their bodies and minds. It also supported Article 29, which states that education should develop children's personalities, talents and abilities to their fullest potential.
By taking part in this workshop, Year 3 developed valuable life skills that will help them build resilience, form positive relationships and contribute to a happy, healthy and supportive school community.
