Rights Respecting Ambassadors

Welcome to our Rights Respecting Ambassadors page! The Rights Respecting Ambassadors at Hawthorn Primary School meet weekly to discuss ideas to support the well-being and welfare of children in school and ways to raise money for not only our school but also the wider community and globally.

Our Rights Respecting School Ambassadors also support Mrs Abraham with our Rights Respecting assembly every Monday morning. We discuss the Article of the week and how it links to our school and learners in weekly classes. Then, we choose the most relevant article to match our assembly and talk about it in year groups. This helps our pupils and staff to have a deeper understanding of each of the rights. We add our thoughts to our RR/British Values flag in our classrooms.

During the Autumn Term, the Rights Respecting School Ambassadors organised cake sales to raise money for Macmillan and celebrated Mental Health Week, by wearing yellow and taking part in well-being activities. School also held Autumn discos to raise money for books to support children's learning.
