George The Sun Safe Superstar

We have been thinking about how we can stay safe in the sun... We need to slip on a t-shirt, slop on sun cream, slap on a hat, slide on sunglasses and shade from the sun to protect us from the suns harmful rays.

Hawthorn Ice Cream Parlour

We have been thinking about some of the things we like to do during the summer time.

Amelia Rose - ' You need sun cream'

Lucas - 'Sun is hot'

Tasha - 'Go to the park'

Jayden - 'Have ice-cream'

Harlie- Rai -'Have picnic'

Randi - 'I go fishing with my dad'

Subhan - 'I have a barbeque'

Celebrating Eid al-Fitr

Walter's Wonderful Web by Tim Hopgood. We have been learning all about spiders, playing the Springy Spider game and making our own spiders, ensuring they have 8 legs!

In Maths we have been counting spots, dots, frogs and fruit. We have been reciting numbers in sequence, counting objects and matching numerals to groups of objects.

This week the children have been retelling The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. They can sequence the story and recall key events. We have also been trying different fruits, just like the hungry caterpillar. In PE we have been slithering like snails, wriggling like worms, scuttling like spiders and crawling like caterpillars!

Celebrating St George's Day

We have been reading the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. The role play area has been transformed into a mini beast investigation laboratory. We have been using the microscope to identify different mini beasts and observing them in their natural habitat in the garden. The children created their own caterpillars and said hello to the new caterpillars in Reception.
