Nocturnal Animals Talk about what you have been learning this week. Ask your child about the story “Peace at Last”, what can they remember? Talk about nocturnal animals. What does nocturnal mean? What animals are nocturnal? Write down what they tell you. |

Listen to some nursery rhymes on youtube, get your child to clap along to the rhythm, then march to the rhythm, then bend their knees in time to the rhythm. |
Friday 4th December

Nocturnal Animals Ask your child to draw a picture of their favourite nocturnal animal. Look on youtube to find information about the animal (where do they live?, what do they eat?) |

Share a book with your child. Ask your child, “Where does the story take place?” “Who are the characters in the story?” “What happens in the story?” “Who is your favourite character and why?” Discuss these questions with your child (they may need help to answer the questions).

Collect a few items from around the house, anything will do!(example, a cup, a fork, a pillow, a blanket) Ask your child “what is it?” “What do we use it for?” “Can you repeat the word?”(for example “cup”) Get them to repeat the word a few times. Ask them “What sound does cup start with?” “c…c…c…c…cup”. Get them to repeat it a couple of times. Repeat the same thing with the other items |
