The children in Year One love to vote for a story book every day as they enter school! They have a choice of two books and Miss Phillips, Miss James or Miss Barker read their chosen book to them at 3pm in Story time ! Sometimes the pupils read the story to the class themselves ! We also have a weekly book and a poetry book that we also share.  They love to choose books by their favourite authors from our inviting book corner in the twinkly lights! Year One love books and so do the teachers! Pupils bring home two reading books to share at home weekly and read every day in our phonics lessons too! We are also lucky enough to have some fantastic reading volunteers who also listen to the children throughout the week!
