  • Writing - Handa's Surprise

    Our key text for the next two weeks is Handa's Surprise. The children have thoroughly enjoyed acting out the story using the role play puppets and small world provision. The children have even practised balancing cones on their head, just like Handa balanced the basket of fruit! I spy a teacher practising too!

    Phonics Hunt... We have enjoyed using Phonics within the continuous provision in our room. The children have particularly enjoyed the Phonics Hunts set up by Miss Rowaiye and Mrs Todd. The phonics hunts are linked to the sound we have learnt the previous week to ensure that we keep our learning 'on the boil.'
