Pupil Premium

🌟 Pupil Premium

💰 What is the Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional government funding provided to schools to help improve the educational outcomes of disadvantaged pupils.

The funding is intended to support children who may face barriers to learning and includes:

👨‍👩‍👧 Pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM)
🏡 Children who are Looked After or have previously been looked after
🎖️ Children from service families

Schools are required to publish information about how Pupil Premium funding is spent and the impact it has on improving outcomes for eligible pupils.

🎯 Our Principles

At Hawthorn Primary, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.

We use Pupil Premium funding strategically to:

📈 Raise attainment and accelerate progress
🚧 Remove barriers to learning
💙 Promote wellbeing, confidence and resilience
🙋 Increase engagement in learning
🌍 Broaden pupils' experiences and aspirations
⭐ Ensure equal access to high-quality educational opportunities

Funding is allocated following a thorough assessment of individual and group needs. Through careful planning and regular review, we ensure that support is targeted where it will have the greatest impact.

🤝 Our Provision

At Hawthorn Primary, we are committed to supporting pupils both academically and personally. We recognise that children's success is influenced by a range of factors, including their confidence, wellbeing, attendance and engagement with school.

Our approach focuses on identifying pupils' individual needs and providing timely, effective support to help them succeed. Alongside targeted academic interventions, we offer opportunities that enrich learning, develop personal skills and promote positive wellbeing.

Our provision is underpinned by our RESPECT values and our commitment to developing the whole child through a broad and inclusive curriculum.
