Year 2 Anti-Bullying Week...

During Anti-Bullying Week, Year 2 took part in a range of engaging activities designed to promote kindness, respect and inclusion. Through discussions, stories, role-play and collaborative tasks, the children explored what bullying is, how it can affect others and what they can do to help create a safe and supportive school environment.

Pupils learned the importance of speaking up if they are worried about themselves or a friend and identified trusted adults they can talk to when they need help. They also explored how small acts of kindness can make a big difference and discussed ways to be positive role models within the school community.

This learning linked closely to Article 19, the right to protection from harm, helping children understand that everyone has the right to feel safe and protected. It also supported Article 12, the right to have their views heard, as children were encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a respectful and supportive environment.

Anti-Bullying Week reinforced the British Values of Mutual Respect and Individual Liberty, encouraging pupils to celebrate differences, value diversity and treat others with kindness and understanding. Through their learning, Year 2 developed a deeper understanding of how they can help ensure that everyone feels welcome, included and respected both in school and beyond.
