Year 3 Urban Devotion Emotional Toolkit Workshop...

Year 3 took part in an engaging Urban Devotion workshop focused on developing their emotional toolkit and supporting positive mental health and wellbeing. Through a range of interactive activities and discussions, the children explored different emotions, learned strategies for managing their feelings and developed a greater understanding of how to respond positively to challenges they may face.

The workshop provided opportunities for pupils to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences in a safe and supportive environment. Children were encouraged to listen carefully to one another, respect different viewpoints and understand that everyone may think, feel and believe differently. This promoted the British Value of Tolerance of Different Faiths and Beliefs and helped children appreciate the diversity within their school and wider community.

This learning linked closely to Article 14, the right to freedom of thought, belief and religion, as children were encouraged to respect the beliefs and opinions of others. It also supported Article 13, the right to freedom of expression, by providing opportunities for pupils to communicate their ideas, emotions and experiences confidently and respectfully.
