The children have settled into Reception amazingly well and are already building lovely relationships with their new friends and the adults in our classroom.

Twiggle the Turtle has been teaching us how to be superstar learners and fantastic friends. We have been learning how to listen carefully, share, take turns, use kind words and help one another.

Fred the Frog has been helping us to say sounds clearly and blend sounds orally to hear whole words. Please continue to watch and enjoy the Read Write Inc. home-learning videos together at home. Fred has also been teaching us how to sit in a super writing position and hold our pencils correctly.

Concept Cat has introduced us to lots of important vocabulary, including straight, quiet, behind, back, empty and forward. The children have enjoyed exploring these words through practical activities, stories and play.

What a wonderful start to our Reception journey—we are incredibly proud of all the children!
