Year 6 had a parent workshop in which parents helped with the children DT projects of making a playground. They did this by making different structures using joining techniques in lessons. Year 6 also used modelling clay to make their landscape within their playground. The class used design briefs made in lessons and closely followed these, making sure the structures were 'fit for purpose'.

The class and parents really enjoyed this as it allowed for hands-on experiential learning to take place in the making process.
