History- World War 2
Year 6 World War II Reenactment
Step back in time with Year 6 as they bring history to life by recreating the tense atmosphere of an air raid shelter during the early days of World War II. Children will experience what it may have felt like to take cover as the nation prepared for conflict. The reenactment will also feature a powerful reading of Neville Chamberlain’s famous speech, declaring that Britain was at war with Germany in 1939. This immersive performance will give a real sense of the fear, uncertainty, and resilience shown by ordinary people during this pivotal moment in history.
