Welcome to Year 1

I am Mr Tame the new Year 1 teacher for this wonderful class. I hope the children are as excited as I am as we have many excellent things planned for their year of learning.

Writing: we are learning about nouns as naming words and using these to write fabulous sentences.

Maths – counting and reasoning with numbers to twenty and beyond.

RE- Christianity and the creation story.

DT /Art: Making a moving storybook and primary colours and mixing to make secondary colours.

History: The Great Fire of London and a trip to the local fire station.

PE: Our pirate story adventure is all about our abc – agility, balance and co-ordination and the children will be doing of mixture of movement and throwing skills.
