 Let’s ‘take a line for a walk’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10irez0l444

Once you have your line drawing, you can be as imaginative as you like with filling in the gaps. Maybe you would like to be like Kandinsky and use bright colours or maybe you could go for the opposite and use more natural tones. For those of you without access to felt, crayons or paints, try using nature to fill the spaces – crushed up leaves or ripped grass are a few suggestions. You could even try to create your own natural paints by adding water to crushed flowers or soil.

What do you know about the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-H42hoR0-s

Kandinsky created a famous piece of artwork called  ‘Concentric Circles’

Your task is to create your own concentric circles art using different shapes. You could use felt pens, crayons or chalks if you have them. If you don’t, maybe see what your parents will allow you to use from the cupboards at home, such as food colouring (make sure you ask first!). Or maybe you could use an art package on your computer, such as ‘paint’.

Let’s do something creative this week.

Today we would like you to sit at your window and sketch something you can see outside in nature. Maybe a tree or a simple flower. Maybe you could focus on the smaller details of a leaf... let your imagination run wild.
