If you walked or drove past Hawthorn on Friday, 14th July, you would probably not have failed to notice brightly coloured kites soaring up into the skies above our building. Over 200 of these kites were put together by pupils, with the assistance of a parent, a Grandparent, a big brother or sister, during an amazing afternoon of collaboration and fun. Each kite carried on it, a message of hope; some wish for an improved world within our children's future. Each day at Hawthorn, we reflect on how we can impact on our local, our national, our global community. This is set within the context of UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools themes and the 42 Articles that ALL children, in ALL parts of our globe should have full access to.
